Bye Berlin!

I am really really behind on my posting..

But anyway! I left Berlin and was really sad to leave, so I had to get some last minute pictures to document Kottbusser Tor my home! I also went to the Jewish Museum by Daniel Libeskind, this Jewish architect. The spaces were really stark and emotional and cold.

love the Bender!

love the graffiti!

East Side Gallery, the last, longest remaining
piece of wall in Berlin

Yaam, the dance club next to East Side Gallery

Pergamon Museum! One of the largest collections of
looted antiquities

Haci Baba and Wonder Waffel, my favorite places

Intersection in Kotti!

cool graffiti by my apartment. it's interesting
because the graffiti in Berlin doesn't
make you feel unsafe.

Berlin's Tempelhof airport! Used to be an airport for West
Berlin, but too small for modern day use. Converted
into a HUGE park!

Modular!!! Biggest art/architecture
supply store I have ever seen. Three stories
high. so much shopping!!!

Model of the Libeskind museum.
tall, gaping holes in the museum,
symbolic of the holes in their history that
the Holocaust created.

Reichstag!

Yay finally got to see the Reichstag. Basically there's a huge and long history about the Parliament building that you could read about.

But aside from history stuff, the experience was pretty incredible. We walked up the ramp, spiraling around the glass dome, with Berlin beneath us. The audioguide gave explanations on what each building was, so it was a great way to see the city without walking anywhere at all. The dome was pretty futuristic looking too, kind of like a spaceship center, especially the way the structure was holding up the ramp.

inside, shading device for dome. it rotates according
to the sun.

Do eat the Chocolate

Went out to eat at an Italian restaurant. Really good hot chocolate and spaghetti though I forgot to take a picture of the spaghetti! Also got a pack of Kinder buenos, just for my friend. Turns out they're delicious!!! it's crispy but also creamy on the inside. Mmm

Studio food

I spend a lot of time in the studio! And for lunch, I often go out to get different foods.

From a Pizza and Ice cream store. Pizza here is often
rectangular, much less fatty and greasy and still
delicious!

PO PO PO PO tay to. This was absolutely ginormous.
Mashed potatoes inside of a potato skin. Bunches of
sauces, couscous, corn, olives and jalepenos!

Curry Lintel Apple soup! Also delicious with bread,
So wonderfully warm on a cold day.
